Edelbrock #8827 Water Pump small block Chevy cartridge style race ideal to prevent overheating in street rods and street machines, as well as in tow rigs and motorhomes. Using state-of-the-art racing technology, Edelbrock has designed these "super cooling" Water Pumps to provide maximum flow, maximum pressure and equal distribution to both sides of the block within 1%. Available for most popular applications, these high performance pumps flow in only one direction for optimum efficiency. The casting's computer-designed internal passages and precision powdered metal impeller produce the maximum flow rate possible.

Installation Notes The Edelbrock 8827 is a two-piece insert-style water pump with a 1.80" diameter inlet designed for small block Chevrolet engines used in competition- The pump uses the same hub height (5 13/16") as the short leg pump found on 1971-82 Corvettes - It offers weight savings along with increased durability and cooling potential - The #8828 is a replacement insert service item for the #8827.- Installation is the same as for original equipment water pumps, although it does require longer than stock mounting bolts - Consult service manual for specific procedures, if necessary - A -2 AN bleeder screw is installed at the top of the pump. - Loosen the screw after filling the cooling system to remove any air.
